Talking to the Bacup Borough manager, he said; "I am delighted to welcome Alan to my

backroom team. Alan who is a Sports Lecturer at Trafford & Stockport college will play an active role in the Development of our under 23's alongside Ryan Russell and Andrew Pilling.

"Unlike some other clubs we integrate the under 23's with the first team squad as I feel this is so important in creating that club togetherness. Equally it is ideal for me as manager that I can observe and see first hand what we have in terms of quality at the club which in turn will be an opportunity to progress players as they develop into the first team arena."

Alan will be joining the already successful backroom team

Peters went on to say "My first team coach Nigel Langley spoke to me about the benefits of bringing Alan into the Bacup Borough family, something I bought into and fully endorsed. For instance I have on several occasions identified players that are only accustomed to playing one position but felt that such players could offer something in other parts of the team structure. I was able to achieve this by moving Aiden Hussey from central midfield to full back and Bradley Hancock from full back into a more advanced central position, and the fact we have an additional coach on board will give Nigel the chance to incorporate more individual one to one coaching and help players develop and be more aware of the players new position. Having this in place will allow us to have specialised coaching for the positions they have been selected to play."

In closing Peters, said; "In terms of the first team Alan and Ryan can observe from other vantage points from around the stadium and bring added information to myself and Nigel's attention in the technical area. This is another positive progression in the direction of where we want this club to be heading."
