Bacup Borough have moved quickly to bring in Harry Roper from Warrington Town FC on a short-term arrangement covering our next two fixtures.

Harry goes straight into the team for the trip to Selby Town FC in the FA Vase
Following the concussion suffered by Borough goalkeeper Billy Blake during Tuesday night’s Division One North fixture against Steeton AFC, and in line with Football Association concussion guidelines, the club has taken the decision to bring in a covering goalkeeper.

Borough goalkeeper Billy Blake is currently recovering
Harry will be available for Saturday’s FA Vase clash with Selby Town and Wednesday night’s fixture against Garstang FC.
Discussing the changes with the manager Brent Peters, he wanted to express his gratitude to both the Warrington Town manager Paul Carden and goalkeeping coach Mark Canning for their support.
“I can’t thank Warrington Town enough for the support they’ve given us. To Paul and Mark, the help they’ve provided at such short notice has been absolutely unbelievable" said, Peters.
"When you’re faced with a situation like this, with Billy’s concussion and the FA guidelines meaning we need to make sure we have adequate goalkeeping cover, having a club like Warrington Town willing to step in and help us is hugely appreciated.
"Football is a competitive game, but it’s moments like this that show what the football community is really about. We’re extremely grateful to Paul, Mark and everyone at Warrington Town for helping us get Harry in for these two important fixtures.”
