THIS WEEKS SPORTS BAR SHOW - IRRESPONSIBLE FA

Slightly more serious than previous shows this one. Brent and Steve discuss the current situation in regards to the postponement of football at our level and what it means financially to clubs operating at the lower levels.

They talk about the government rules in relation to playing football in the different tiers, and why they feel that the FA have acted irresponsibly in kicking off the season in the first place knowing all along that the government scientific advisors were predicting a second wave was coming. Definitely chewing the fat in this one, not sure about the balls. You decide?

The 27 year old born in Lisbon of Angolan descent moved to England as a child, where he attended Loreto College in Hulme, Manchester.

It was during his time at the college that he signed for the Borough featuring on numerous occasions for the first team in the North West Counties League, and after impressing at the Brian Boys Stadium under the guidance of Peters, Fabio returned to Portugal and signed a three year contract with C.S. Maritimo in 2011.

GARETH WAGER SIGNS FOR ANOTHER SEASON

Gareth Wager has put pen to paper for another season with the Borough and is looking forward to joining forces with the manager Brent Peters for the 2020/21 campaign.

The experienced Wager featured in the latter stages of last seasons campaign before Covid kicked in. But it was evident during that time why the manager values the presence of the versatile defender.

Talking to the manager, he said. 'Gareth is a true professional. I know 100% that I can count on him to deliver. And his presence in the dressing room around the younger players will be invaluable if we are to achieve anything this season.'

This news comes after the club also announced that former favourite, Danny Cox will be signing on a duel registration.
