It was announced that six of Bacup Borough's contract players from last season have now signed extensions for the 2021/22 campaign.
Those players are Alex Mellor, Callum Hewitt, Kyle Siddle, Toby Wright, Josh Walne and Brad Hancock, all of which have made excellent progress since joining the club.
Over the past few season's each one of them has grown in stature. And through the guidance and support of Brent Peters and the Head Coach, David Felgate, they have continued to develop their game and settle into life in the North West Counties League.
Talking to the manager he had this to say. "It was really important that we secured the services of these six players. All of them have the qualities needed to succeed in the semi pro game. And during the past year David Felgate and myself have continued to see a steady progression from all of them. Their attitude, their desire to learn and also their ability to put that learning into practice on the pitch have all been major factors when deciding to retain their services for next season"
The manager is also waiting on Joel Gnabouyou to sign who is currently in France where he has been living during the pandemic.
