On Saturday Kyle Siddle's equaliser away at Glossop North End was his fiftieth goal in a Bacup Borough shirt.
The goal that helped guide Borough into the second qualifying round of the FA Vase wasn't only Siddle's fiftieth goal but also a celebration of a players progression and maturity in the game.

Kyle joined the club from local amateur side Rossendale FC back in 2019 along with his brother Ryan. And ever since beginning his Borough journey the tricky versatile Siddle has continued to develop his game with determination and desire.
Siddle's ability to make driving runs beyond the opposition defence and urgency to find positive space on the pitch has contributed to Borough's number seven netting fifty times in the Bacup colours and gaining valuable memories and silverware along the way.

Over the past four season's we've witnessed the young Siddle mature and become a much more all rounded footballer. In the past situations may have caused him to retaliate and react through frustration, but now he has become more measured in his response and allowed his feet to do the talking with clinical and calmess in front of goal.
Kyle Siddle is a player who has become invaluable to the Bacup Borough cause. His reputation amongst fellow clubs in the North West Counties League continues to grow with every season and makes him a marked man with managers.

Hopefully his presence will continue to catapult the club to even greater heights with promotion back to the Premier Division. His attitude and hunger on the field epitomises everything Bacup Borough stands for and with his gutsy displays and ability to score important goals at crucial times in games you would not bet against him making it to one hundred goals in double quick time.
