BORO UP FOR THE CUP

This weekend Borough travel to the Community Ground to face Burscough FC in the First Qualifying Round of this season's FA Vase.

The Community Ground

This season the competition has a new partner, with ISUZU taking over from the previous partners Buildbase UK.

Borough will be looking to progress in the competition but are under no illusion that the game will be a challenge against Premier Division opposition.

Brent Peters and David Felgate's squad go into the game off the back of two consecutive wins in the league and full of confidence going into the tie. Burscough haven't had the best of starts to their season, but Brent is well aware of the danger the home side can cause given the opportunity.

"Burscough isn't going to be an easy game. They are a Premier Division team with quality and we need to respect that from the first whistle. They also play on 4G so that will be in their favour so we must adapt accordingly in order to combat that."

The FA Vase also has the benefit of prize money and the glory of the final being played at Wembley Stadium alongside the FA Trophy. Prize money for the competition is as follows;
