BORO SQUAD IS KEY

Borough came through their FA Vase clash with Campion AFC and automatically switched their attention back to league mode.

Squad Players Waiting For Their Chance

With a busy schedule of games coming up in both the league and cup competitions it's massively important that the entire squad is ready to compete, because as we've seen in recent weeks the management are more than happy to rotate players and give opportunity to those on the fringes of the first team.

The win against Campion AFC in the FA Vase was an illustration of how the squad is slowly gathering momentum and the ability for Brent and Dave to have strength in depth on the bench means that the team never suffers when they're called upon.

In the coming weeks Borough have league fixtures against Darwen FC, Steeton AFC and Runcorn Town, and with a big FA Vase clash with West Didsbury & Chorlton at home on the 12th November the levels of fitness and concentration will be key aspects of any success.

Chatting to the manager about the forthcoming games and having a quality squad to select, he said; "Every game is important and the next few league and cup fixtures will hopefully allow us to keep the momentum flowing. I sound like a broken record at times, but any team can beat anybody in this league, so it's crucial we focus on continuing to do the right things."

As for the squad, they've been top class. Dave and I are lucky to have such a good bunch. We don't have ego's in our group because we'd soon flush it out if we spotted it. I don't have to name them individually because they know who they are and what they mean to us, but it makes our job easier that each man knows their worth in the big scheme of things. Everyone of them could play in the first team but we can only select eleven to start. They just need to be ready to take their chance when it comes along."

On Saturday Borough travel to local side Darwen FC in the league. A win could see them move up to sixth in the North West Counties Division One North.
