Bacup Borough are back in action with several friendly fixtures arranged over the past few weeks. And with no football being played since before Christmas it was a welcome return for all the squad.
The manager Brent Peters is hoping to arrange a number of games between now and the start of the 2021/22 season making sure that the lads are in tip top condition ahead of an earlier start which will see them take to the field competitively in late July.
Talking to the manager he said. "It was really important to get the lads back together and playing. They may only be friendlies but keeping them fit and ready to go in July is important. We've got a good bunch here, and that togetherness they've showed over the past 12 months needs to continue. We've had strong performances against Barnton and Northwich Victoria which has been positive to see."
Even though no fans are allowed into the ground due to Covid restrictions the beer garden has been open for business allowing customers to enter the beer garden and watch the games with social distancing in place.
Beer garden will be open again this coming Saturday 1st May - 1pm (Boro are playing at home against Heyside FC)
